Department of Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana
Rasashastra and Bhaishajyakalpana is one of the most important branches of Ayurveda.If basically deals with the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines using mercury, various metals, minerals and also various herbs. This subject is a part of syllabus of second years B.A.M.S.Course.
All essential practical will carried out in the UG Laboratory as per MUHS syllabus. There is also an in-home pharmacy which was established more than 4 years before.
This Department is divided into :
- Rasashastra and bhaishajyakalpana Laboratory.
- Rasashastra and bhaishajyakalpana Department.
- Rasashastra and bhaishajyakalpana Museum.
Departmental features :
- Well equipped laboratory containing various instruments, charts, geologically identified specimens.
- Well maintained departmental library containing books and journals.
- In-house pharmacy – various types of ayurvedic medicines are prepared at pharmacy.
- We prepare most of ayurvedic medicines in our pharmacy for OPD and IPD.
